A Big Thank You from The Big Trouble Band and a Wish to All for a Great Holiday Season and New Year

The Big Trouble Band had an active November and early December with a few really great gigs starting off with a date at the Black Swan on Danforth Avenue in Toronto on November 20th, then the Ontario Public Service Battle of the Bands on November 26th and over to Mitzi's Sister for an appearance of the Little Big Trouble Band on Dec. 4th.

Big Trouble was proud to take the second place spot at the OPS Battle of Bands, an event held at the Opera House in Toronto in front of more than 500 screaming music lovers. Nine bands competed with each playing a short half hour set. A panel of judges from the senior ranks of the Ontario Public Service did the honours of assessing the performances.

On December 4th the Little Big Band made it's first appearance, which is a four piece combo of guitar, keys, bass and drums, sans the horn section, which was unavailable due to a scheduling conflict.

Stay tuned for announcements of upcoming gigs. Big Trouble had a great year and we thank all of those who came out.

We hope you all have a great holiday season and a terrific new year to come.

Cheers!

A Busy Late November for the Big Trouble Band

The Big Trouble Band has three Toronto gigs within a week in late November:

On Saturday, November 20th we will be at the Black Swan at 154 Danforth Avenue in the east end. That's just east of Broadview Avenue.

On Friday, November 26th, The Big Trouble Band will be part of the Ontario Public Service Battle of the Bands in support of the United Way of Greater Toronto. This event is at the Opera House at 735 Queen East just east of Broadview. Tickets are $20. There will be a number of bands with each playing a short set. Should be a lot of fun. Tickets may be available at the door, or you can e-mail us back here and we'll try to figure out how to get you a ticket. The show starts at 6:30 and goes till past midnight.

And finishing a busy week, the band will return to Mitzi's Sister for a Saturday Matinee on November 27 from 5-7 p.m. Mitzi's is at 1554 Queen St. West, just west of Lansdowne.

We hope to see you somewhere along the way.

Great Gig at Mitzi's Sister

Big Trouble had a great time last night (Sept. 25th) at Mitzi's Sister on Queen West in Toronto. A big thank you to all the folks who were able to make it out. It's a semi-regular thing for us, a 5-7 p.m. matinee, which seems to be a time slot that works well for people judging by the packed house. We are back there again in the not-too-distant future. And we'll keep you posted about other shows as they come up.

By the way, you can check out our MySpace page here to listen to a few of our tunes. And feel free to drop us an e-mail here if you want to be added to our e-mail list, or if you want booking info or just to say hi.
